Apollo Mission Control Zoom Q&A on February 21, 2026 @10AM CST

Join us for a rare opportunity to get an insider's perspective of Apollo Mission Control. Our honored speakers will be 3 veterans of the mission control program, Jim Kelly (KJ5KJ) , an expert for the Apollo Command Service Module electrical power systems, Tom Hanchett, the communications and instrumentation expert for all of the spacecrafts and Bill Peters, the expert for the Apollo Lunar Module electrical power and environmental systems. All three were on active duty during the Apollo 11 historic first moon landing and played a critical role in the safe return of the astronauts following the Apollo 13 spacecraft explosion. In recognition for their extraordinary efforts, this team received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Questions are to be submitted to Connie (KE9ALV) in advance and Jim has requested interested parties to watch the documentary "Mission Control: Unsung Heroes of Apollo" in order to gain an understanding of the Mission Control's role.
